It's my birthday! I'm 19! I'm kind of too busy to think about whether that's important to me!
I've been at college for two months. It's mostly awesome. I feel like I'm starting to get used to it, although I wouldn't be surprised if I end up spending the whole four years feeling like I'm starting to get used to it. It's that kind of place.
They are teaching me about sound design... and directing actors... and writing... etcetera. Classes are a lot of fun. Much of the homework is not so fun.
I miss social interaction with people I've known for years, although social interaction with people I've just met is fun too. But repetitive conversations that follow set formulas really bug me. I want to have different conversations with different people at different times.
oh man it turns out livejournal entries are way easier to write than essays and screenplays there are no rules and nobody gives a shit I spend so much of my time trying to be articulate I think I might have to start using this as an outlet for cathartically halfassed writing wooooooooo asdkadjkfswqjkasjklavnkljadnkjauaiwer |

| More like POO York |

Yeah so I arrived at NYU today and it's pretty awesome so far! People complain too much. Moving in was really easy despite all the warnings that it would be incredibly crowded and awful with traffic and long lines for elevators and blah blah blah. This is apparently an unpopular dorm because THE WALLS ARE UGLY OH GOD NO or something, but I'm finding it very comfortable, and there are three dining halls downstairs (one is kosher!), and everywhere I need to go is really nearby.
There are people everywhere! It's intense! |

So like, here's what I'm up to this summer, besides watching TV and sleeping: completely uprooting my life three times in a row. Leaving SVS, now moving to Easton, and then to New York.
We still have to record music and narration for Evergreen.
I started working on Incongruitastic again. This episode is pissing me off and I think I burnt out on it a little because it's stuck in the past on several levels. I mean, the whole idea of this series in the first place was to use all my old ideas that never went anywhere, but this one in particular - it's a flashback and reuses scenes from previous episodes, so it doesn't progress the plot at all, although it fills in some important and/or interesting details. And I took a long break, mostly because I was busy, but also because my crappy character modeling and rigging from however many years ago (using old stuff) that I was always too lazy to get better at and redo is making it really hard to animate as well as I think I could at this point. So now I'm also just sick of it because it's taking so long, and I want to get on with the plot. I really hope I finish this series, because it's totally the best story I've ever written and you're only looking at part of it.
But anyway... I'm gonna be getting a new video camera soon (HV20, some of you know what that is). Who wants to make some sort of crappy quick movie, IN BEAUTIFUL HIGH DEFINITION, before I leave? Anybody have an idea for one? |

We're finally done filming Evergreen! (I think)
They completely ruined the formatting of my thesis in the Journal. |

SO we started filming Evergreen again today, and we made the stupid mistake of filming with a realistic looking gun right out in the open in Callahan near the parking lot. Someone saw it and called the police, who showed up when we were walking back to school on Millwood Street. They handcuffed me and Baz and patted us all down and asked us some questions, and then they told us if we do this again we should call them in advance to tell them, and bring a big sign that says that we're filming a movie, which is really common sense that we should have thought of but didn't, and then they let us go and were really nice about it.
It's pretty embarassing.

My thesis!
Everything is happening all at once and it's kind of overwhelming. I wonder what I'm going to do this summer. |

I think I reinforce my bad habit of procrastinating by being too good at having sudden flashes of inspiration at the last minute. |

For the record: I got into all the schools I applied to. Woo!
I am going to NYU. Woo! Eep! Making decisions about the future is really terrifying! |

I, for one, am single, happy being single, AND had a fantastic Valentine's Day today without being a pretentious asshole about other people's happiness or commercialism. It's just an excuse to enjoy yourself, like any other holiday.
And I finished all my college applications! Woo! |

I submitted my second college application.
And I registered to vote.
I feel like an effective adult! I wanna get started on my thesis! |
